Firts of all, I would like to congratulate you on making such a fantastic site! I've been hanging around here since november and have gotten completely addicted to this awesome game!

You also programmed it very well! I'm really impressed with certain details in the way the game progresses. For example, in the last round, you don't give players the choice to assign new electors in phase 5, since at that point, this is of no consequence.

Now, I'm wondering: isn't the replacement of the emperor after the last elections equally inconsequential since there are no more turns to come?

If I'm asking a stupid question, or this would potentially cause you a big headache in programming the game, I'm sorry. I just thought of this as I'm in a game at this point. Not that this is extremely important of course. But I thought I might as well suggest implementing it since it could (albeit mildly) improve the experience

Hello Vic,
yes, you are right, emperor replacement should be skipped in last round. Unfortunately I doubt I will ever pick up the code again to make any improvement. Site development stopped a few years ago because.. well.. life changes and I no longer have the time to dedicate to this. The site is still up only because it basically runs itself, with very little maintenance required on my part.
Shadow of the Emperor was the most complex game I implemented, by far, and it required a lot of work, but it was worth it, a truly unique game.
