Samurai is not completeley finished, I'm still working on the graphics, with the help of a friend, and I hope to improve them in the next days, but the coding of game mechanics is done and needs to be tested and debugged.
And then I need feedback on the interface, how it can be improved and tweaked: I can't really test this without playing "real" games, where I pay attention to game play and not to testing the last piece of code added.

Implementation of game mechanics has been very simple and straightforward, Samurai is really a simple game, and all the problems came from the graphics, with that weird-shaped board :(.
My original idea was to create just one map, the complete one with all four pieces, and use it also for 2 and 3 player games, with the unused part 'grayed out'. It turned out that in order to fit the whole map in a 1024x768 screen I had to reduce the size so much that everything is very small, and I don't really like it. But I like even less the alternative of a larger map that needs to be scrolled. I decided then to create different boards for 2 and 3 player games, so at least them will have a larger and more comfortable map.

At the moment the 3 player version is not ready yet, as I'm still working on graphic improvements, but I want to start a few 2 and 4 player games, especially to check playability of the 4-player board.
I will create some games today and in the next days, and they will be accessible only to users in 'beta-tester group'. If you want to join the group, send me a PM here, but please consider these 2 requirements:
- Knowledge of the game, obviously.
- A decent playing speed. You are not required to play several moves per day, but please don't join a beta test game if you move only once every few days, or if you are leaving for a 2 weeks holiday.

I will try to closely follow the games (well, I will be playing in many of them :)), please report problems and suggestions in the games message logs or here in this forum.

Thank you,
MaBi
