I know this is not entirely related, but is there any chance there will be a new game on mabiweb anytime soon? |

Not soon, in the past year I have been involved in other things and interests and I have given up a bit on the all boardgaming hobby. But I think that sooner or later I will be back. |

I suspect if you have an iPhone/ipodTouch, you'll find out in the coming months....
Thanks for the memories MaBi. There's still plenty of other good games here to play... :) |

The fact that you can play games on MaBi Web on web enabled phones is likely the impetus. It'd be a little hard to convince someone to buy a game for their phone when they can play it on their phone for free already... |

Exactly. So by removing free to play availability, you immediately force people to either pay, or go without. Makes perfect business sense to be fair, even though I'm gutted it's gone. |

With the ability to add things like high-quality graphics, offline play via AI, real-time online and/or wifi play, audio, etc.? I'll still gladly buy a well-designed Samurai iPhone app even though I've already played hundreds of games at MaBiWeb, and would continue to do so if possible. Not saying this to create or protract debate about whether or not RK "should" have rescinded the rights, as I agree with others that - however unfortunate the outcome may be for us - it's his prerogative. |

That's where you and I differ. if the choice is between paying to play Samurai online (even when I've already bought the hardcopy) and playing (say) Year of the Dragon for free, I'll go with the free games. There are a lot of excellent games that can still be played at no charge, both on this site and others. Samurai is good, but it's not that good. |

My comments were directed toward the degree to which free PBW games may or may not affect non-free, enhanced app versions of the exact same games. It sounds like you wouldn't have become a Samurai app customer regardless of its availability on MaBiWeb, so that isn't be an example of a lost (or gained) customer! |

After all my games of Samurai are finished, I'm gonna have 892 games played.

Currently existing games will be allowed to run to completion but it will not be possible to create new Samurai games.

Can I ask you who is actually the 'rights owner'? |
