I'm not desperately familiar with Samurai, but as far as I can see, this should not have happened - please tell me why I've done it wrong!

We have a two land space village. Opponent has placed a 4-strength land unit. I place a 2-strength ship, followed by a 3-strength land unit. So I should win 5-4? But the game gives the piece to my opponent.

Hi,
the figure on the village was a 'ricefield', so the '3-buddha' token you played didn't count toward rice majority. Buddha, rice and helmet tokens count only for the figures of the same type, while samurai and ships are wildcards.
