I have a request. Each email notification lists the game by game number, yet the online Game Manager lists each game by its name. Could you please add the game name to the email message, and add the game number to the Game Manager display? This would be a big help for those of us who are active in multiple games and keep the Game Manager window open.
A fair request. I have been thinking for some time on how to reorganize the Game Manager display. Currently the game ID is in the game type mouseover, but it's almost useless there. And then I want to add current game phase info, but there isn't much room left, unless I make each room taller. I don't know how and when, but I will try to improve it.
I think the current layout is near perfect, but I haven't understand what is "phase info" you are talking about. Please, don't try to put too many information in the game manager because... it's the game manager, it's made to be synthetic. Too info, too crowded.
Anyway, good work and please start Samurai!
I just wanted to see if the email name feature is still in consideration. Emailing "your-turn" reminders is great, but listing them by number isn't helpful if you're playing more than one or two games. The proper name would be much more useful. Preferably in the subject line. I propose this format for the subject line:
<game> notice: <game_name> (<game_number>)
so this would be:
Samurai notice: My First Game (#32123)
This keeps the subject short so I don't have to look at the email for any information -- any pop-up email notifier will tell me all I need to know.
The game manager looks good to me. Don't see much room for improvement there now. Maybe you already spiffed it up.
