The play-by-web version of Hansa has been moved to the new play-by-web site of Michael Schacht.
It's the same version which was hosted here and you are all familiar with, and along with it you will find a pbw version of the game Patrician.
Hansa games currently running will of course go on to finish, while new games will be available only on the new site.
I'm disappointed in this news, having more sites to check is troublesome, more games on less sites is better. Rather than the other way around.
Yes, I am certainly aware of the problem, I am currently playing on 7 different pbw sites, and I'm sorry to contribute to the fragmentation but I don't have a solution. I'm still waiting for someone to create a great professional pbw site offering all the great boardgames I like. Meanwhile, we'll have to live with the current situation.

Are Gods and Richelieu going to move over there as well?
No, there are no plans for this at the moment.

Can you talk about what prompted M. Schacht to start his own pbw site?
I can't talk for him, but I guess that for designers the free online games are promotional tools and in this way it works much better as a promotion for his games. But I really didn't ask him the reason when we discussed about his site.
I'm excited about the news! Having a prominent, SDJ-winning game designer embrace play-by-web at his own site can only encourage other designers & publishers to make similar offerings. It already comes with the welcome addition of one more game to our shared online library, Patrician!
