|
|
Hi all,
I have added a couple of little changes in Richelieu:
running total score: now during the game the current overall score is always displayed. Of course this score is without tokens, they are taken into account only at the end of the game.
graphical visualization of the last taken card(s): cards taken in the last turn are now displayed at their original position in smaller size. In this way opponent's last action should be more apparent (no need to go looking for numeric coordinates).
Another addition, general and not only for Richelieu, is the option to turn off email notifications: go to 'Your Account' -> 'Your Info' and in the list of options you can now set 'Games Notifications' (default is on).
With these last changes I think I have more or less finished with Hansa and Richelieu for now (besides minor tweaks and of course possible bug-fixes). Maybe in future I will add something else (for example the Hansa ExtraKarte variant) but now I would prefer to start working on a new game.
About this new game, I have a lot of work already done (in the past, couple of months ago) on Shadow of the Emperor, but it turned out to be much more complex than I had anticipated, so at the time I abandoned it. I do plan to finish it sometime in the future, but my current idea is to start working now on Samurai, which should be much simpler to implement. Don't hold your breath though: I haven't started yet and I have no idea how much spare time I will be able to devote to mabiweb in the next future, so it could take months.
In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the current games.
Many thanks to all you beta-testers who helped me in realizing this.

Oh my! In the Shadow of the Emperor would be so nice.
If it's technical/complexity issues that are stopping you, I could help. I am not a "web guy" but I know interfaces and I understand the complexities of this game. I could also help you test it out live (text/voice chat) while you are tweaking it. |

I just wanted to say that you've done a great job on interface and I'm looking forward to any new game you'll make.
Why not stay Schacht and implement China? |

While In the Shadow of the Emperor and Samurai would both be great, you might want to check if Amigo would be interested in your working on the new Schacht game California. From a reading of the rules it should work well in a play by web setting. |

I would second California. It looks like it would be perfect for pbw. |

My vote is for Shadow of the Emperor because their several tile laying types of games already elsewhere.
ludaoga.net: medina and through the desert
boardgamegeek.com: tigris & euphrat
spielbyweb.com: reef encounter
While, there are four type of tile laying games, especially, Knizia games, there are no area control/voting type of game anywhere else. |

Tikal on SbW is an area control game, but I wouldn't mind ItSotE myself. |

You've done a great job, MaBi. I'm enjoying both of the games you've done and look forward to Samurai. BTW, if you need a playtester for it, let me know! :) |

In the Shadow of the Emperor would be fantastic. Mark me down for a vote for that...and an offer to playtest it for you. |

I would also do In the Shadow of the Emperor. Samurai has already been done as a game for purchase for around $10 or $15. |

In the Shadow of the Emperor would be a GREAT PBW game. I hope you can overcome the difficulty. I really like that game, but rarely find anyone to play with. |

I'm longing to see Samurai in action, that's one of my favorites from Herr Knizia :) |
