Look at Samurai Game ID=929.

It says the game has ended, yet there is still an uncaptured Buddha and two uncaptured hats. The game should never end before all of the tokens have been captured to make sure that an incorrect winner is not declared prematurely.

The scores currently are:

Mabi: 4 Helmet, 3 Buddha, 3 Rice
avmartin: 1 Helmet, 3 Buddha, 4 Rice

If avmartin captures the last Buddha, avmartin will win the game, yet Mabi has been declared the winner.

Hi there!
The game ends as soon as the last figure of a kind is taken from the board. In your 929 game the last rice figures was taken by MaBi in the 12th round.
This is a rule that I have misplayed too for quite long time. :)
Bye,

As frarobertooo said, this is not a bug, it's a rule! The game ends as soon as all figures of a kind are removed or 4 of any kind are tied.

Ok, I have probably won this game because you didn't know the correct end-game rule, so if you want a rematch I'm ready :).

The confusion probably stems from the previous computer incarnation of Samurai, which ended as avmartin describes. I like the correct ending better, but it will take a little getting used to....

Mea Culpa! I HAVE been playing the computer version and it does play until all tokens have been picked up. I didn't do what I usually do which is keep a copy of the rules by my computer, so I should have known the correct ending conditions.

Sorry!
