I have tried with both Firefox 1.5 and IE6, and I don't see them, so it's hard for me to fix this if I cannot replicate it.
Does anyone else have this problem as well?

After doing a big of trial and error, it turns out to be a Norton Internet Security issue. If I temporarily disable NIS, then the errors go away, but come back as soon as I re-enable it.

I don't get this in any of the other phpBB's that I use.

Cheers
Mike

Are you running NIS?

Well, I did investigate this, and I have found the source of the problem, which is not in phpBB but in php-Nuke or, better, in the integration of the two. Unfortunately at the moment I can't see a way to fix it without messing up with both of them, and that's something I would prefer to avoid unless it's really necessary.
Most users don't see the problem thanks to php output buffering, which acts as a sort of workaround for this, and I think your NIS interferes with the buffering and so you get the error messages.
I will fix it only if I find an easy way to do it.

Sounds like a fair approach! It's not really a problem, just looks a bit messy. Thanks for looking!
