This may be a little over the top, but... I sometimes play more than one game of Hansa at the same time. To help cue players in what color they are, perhaps color/shade/highlight the ship token to YOUR color when it's your turn.

This is really easy to implement. The only problem is to create the right images for the colored ship, as I am no good at graphics manipulation.
Anyway I have just added this, let's say it's an experiment. Let me know if it's better with the colored or the 'neutral' ship.
(I don't like much the yellow ship, but I wasn't able to do any better. If someone more talented in graphics can provide alternative images...)

I think the colored ships were very clever as a playing aid and a huge help!

I notice the latest change with only the sails of the ship being colored to match the player color (rather than the whole ship).
My personal experience with this has been a little disappointing -- mostly because its not as easy to see and distinguish from the rest of the ship! :D I'm curious how others find this.

In any case, I truly (like everyone else here I'm sure) appreciate the incremental improvements that MaBi continues to make!

Regards,

Yes, the new version is nicer but the previous one was more effective. I'm not sure which is better, so I'm glad to hear your and other players comments (... going to the waste-basket in search of the colored ships... :))

MaBi,
I just noticed that the ships are now "all color" instead of just the sails -- I'm so glad to see that again!

When only the sails were colored, I always kept thinking I was playing 'white' because most of the ship was white and that was most visible.

Thanks for bringing back full color ships! :D

Thanks to you for your feedback, and thanks to frarobertooo for providing the new ship images (both the sail-only and the full-colored version).
