Thanks to all the beta-testers for their help!
A lot of Samurai games have been played now, and I think it can be released. Of course this doesn't mean it's totally bug-free, but it should be good enough for most games to complete without problems.
Some notes about the game.
Graphics. My original plan was to create only one map, the complete one for 4 players, and use it also for 2 and 3 player games disabling part of the map. Unfortunately in order to fit it into a 1024x768 screen I had to reduce its size so much that everything is really small. So I have created specific 2 and 3 player maps. Now 2-player games should have no problem from this point of view, while in 4-player games tokens' size is not much comfortable, and 3-player is something in between . I'm still open to the possibility of changing this, creating a larger 4-player map, but this would mean a lot of scrolling (in both directions).
A big thank you to my friend Ignazio (known as frarobertooo here and on BGG) for all his help with the graphics! Board Setup. Figures are randomly placed at game start. A manual setup would require as many turns as the game itself and I don't think it would be worthwile. But I have moved the initial hand selection after the (random) board setup, so you can view the board before choosing your starting tokens. End-game conditions. In beta-test games many players were surprised to find out that the game can end before the complete filling of the board. It seems that there are some wrong rules translations out there (and also the first versions of Klear Samurai for PC contributed to spread the wrong rules). Anyway, of course here I implemented the original rule: game ends as soon as all figures of a kind are removed from the board or 4 figures of any kins are tied.
Thanks again to all beta-testers, and happy Samurai to all players .

| Next one will probably be 'In the Shadow of the Emperor'. I had already done a good deal of work on this a few months ago, before going online with MaBiWeb, so it does make sense to finish it. But I have no idea of how much time it will take, I need to look and see where I had left it... |

Thanks for all the work MaBi -- this site has been providing uncountable hours of fun!
How about a racing game next?? I've read really good things about Bolide, now that would be amazing to be able to play online

Mabi.
Fine job. The GUI is really nice on all your games. I am absolutely addicted to Richelieu and just started my first game of Samurai.
I cannot wait for the "In the Shadow...". Its one of my all time favorite board games and would make for a very very fine online game. Please let me know if you need a beta tester as I know the rules inside and out.

I'd be glad to help with interface and technical issues.
I am not a graphic artist, but I have done of lot of stuff with Photoshop. ItSotE is a game with a fairly techie look and feel to it. I may be able to help here (tiles, cards, etc) if you need it as well. |
