|
|
My partners in crime any I are having a great time at this site and playing this game.
Question; what restrictions are there in choosing the Rival card? I did not experience this problem being the Emperor, but one player stated to me that he tried to select the card and was unable to. What would cause that?
1) cannot pick Rival card in first round? that seems a bit odd to skip Phase VI
2) cannot pick Rival card if income is zero? that seemed a bit odd as the cost of the Rival card is zero
3) I have not a clue; HELP.... |

i'm not aware of any restrictions, rules or mabiweb, in selecting the rival card outside of being the emperor yourself. i suspect your friend may not have ben logged in while viewing the game, and thus unable to select anything at that point. |

I was the player in question.
I was logged in. The game just made me choose something else. |

There are no restrictions for taking the Rival card, except of course being in the Actions Phase and not being Emperor. And after so many games played it's unlikely to still have such an obvious bug. Anyway, should it happen again please leave the game as it is, in the position where you can't take the Rival, and notify me so I can have a look (but consider that I will be very unresponsive until next week, when I will be back from holidays). |

Unlikely, in that case there was a bit of javascript involved but here it's just plain simple html. I tried with IE7 too but I'm totally unable to replicate the problem and looking at the code I can't see how it could happen. I need a game stopped in that position so I can check it. |
