It would be nice if you were prompted to confirm that you were ending your turn, particularly if doing so would cause you to discard large amounts of money. I just did a turn, realized I forgot to confirm, went *back* to the page and ended my tiurn without realizing that my moves hadn't stuck. Net result: I passed with 8 talers in my pocket and lost a big scoring opportunity (as well as a bunch of cash)...
Yes, this is the effect of keeping the temporary in-turn game state in your session and committing it to DB only at the end when you confirm. Going *back* to the page you actually reload from DB the previously saved position, before your turn.
As I said in another post, I think the advantages of this approach far outweigh the disadvantages, and situations like this shoud be rare, especially when players will get used to it. But it's probably a good idea in Hansa to ask for confirmation when a player just passes, without doing any action (maybe only if has more than 3 talers). An intentional pass is rare enough that the added confirm should not be annoying and it can save the game.
